Be Ready for Every Good Work

3 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, ² to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. ³ For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. ⁴ But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, ⁵ he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷ so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. ⁸ The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

I am quick to fine fault in others that I love but yield to see fault in myself. I must keep a constant reminder that there is no one perfect.  I get caught up in my feelings a lot because I know MY intent is good and EXPECT everyone else’s intent to be good too, when in actuality/reality that is not always the case when dealing with people.  I know that I have done some people wrong and I truly from the bottom of my heart apologize because that is nor was it ever my intent.

Reading the book of “Titus” is helping me deal with some minor issues that I have gone through. I thank GOD for not being hesitant in forgiving me when I was/am being foolish as I did not want to forgive foolish people for what they did to me. For the scripture says "when the goodness and loving kindness of GOD our savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy".

When GOD Moves

While walking to the store this afternoon, I saw a man I knew from the neighborhood. He recognized me and walked up to me and asked me if remembered him. I replied "yes, I remember you from the neighborhood". He then proceeded to hug me and say "Happy New Year" and asked me if I could take him to church. I had the shocked look on my face for a moment because one I hadn't seen him a long time (which he let me know he had moved to the Bronx) and secondly how did he know to just come up to me and ask me to take him to church. We talked for a moment and he explained that he wanted to change his life. Long story short, he gave his number and said that he was serious about going to church. Moral of the story is never in a million years would I have thought that GOD would move in my life the way he is. Through me GOD has brought many people to church whom have (1) came and visited the church on more than one occasion and (2) became a member of the church. Yesterday and unexpectedly three people asked me to pray for them since my blog has been up. My GOD is awesome. I pray that he continues to move in my life so I can help more and more people.

GOD Does Answers Prayers

GOD does answers prayers. He answers some sooner than others. So do not be discouraged when you don’t hear or get the answers that you need from him right away because he is always on time.

Micah 7:7 “Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the GOD of my salvation: my God will hear me”

While talking to a friend, unbeknownst to them; they made a statement which totally discouraged my decision to go forward with a part of this inspirational project. They had no idea that for that moment in time they had discouraged me. Immediately after speaking to them, I prayed to GOD asking for his guidance as I began to question the task. Immediately after I said my prayer my phone began to ring and it was the person I had just spoken too. The Holy Spirit had convicted them which prompted them to call me back and let me know that they didn't mean what was said in the manner of which they felt I received it and they apologized. Although I knew in my heart that was not their intent, my point is GOD answered this particular prayer immediately.
